SPCF Athletes to Compete in the PRISAA National Games

Seven SPCinian Athletes will compete in the Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) National Games will blast off at the Iloilo Sports Complex, Iloilo City on April 12-23, 2007. The athletes will compete in Lawn Tennis events - Men and Women’s division. They will be housed at Central Philippine University (CPU) in Iloilo. They are now undergoing rigid physical and psychological trainings in the hope of bringing home the bacon. The team also plans a side trip to Boracay, the world’s most beautiful beach, if their budget allows. Accompanying them are coaches Jayme Galang and Analiza Mallari.

It may be remembered that SPCF registered a sterling performance in last year’s sporting events held in Pangasinan. In the team competition, our lady woodpushers placed 3rd in chess, while our lawn tennis players brought home the 2nd runner up cup in the women’s division. In the individual category, our jin lorded over all others as he brought home a gold in Tae Kwon Do.

So, good luck to our athletes. Go for gold and glory!!!
